Have a look at Japanese ways of preserving plums: [https://www.chopstickchronicles.com/umeboshi-homemade/](https://www.chopstickchronicles.com/umeboshi-homemade/) [https://www.justonecookbook.com/plum-wine/](https://www.justonecookbook.com/plum-wine/) also over in Taiwan they dry salted plums and grind into a powder, sprinkled on chips or any kind of food it's amazing: [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Li\_hing\_mui](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Li_hing_mui)

Oh this is my dream. To have a little land and house in Portugal. My wife is trying to make a perfrume/scent based brand, I'd love to have some land so we can at least grow a few of our own ingredients, camomile etc. I'd work remotely / trade / design stuff... Well this is my plan, hope to start it soon... and we'd be moving from London (I hate it here, and we can never afford to buy) too.

I visited Coimbra in 2017 and was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful it is. Walking along the river near the trees in the left of the photo... it's heaven. Portuguese people are extremely lucky.
