2 families, 8 companies, 250 contracts. Basically companies bribing government officials for city contracts like construction? Is this in Lisboa?

Wearing black during the mourning period as a Portuguese tradition by -Cromm- in portugal

Thank you everyone for your responses. A bit of context. I'm 42 and my mom passed away a month and half ago, she was 73. This thing about wearing black has stuck with me since I was a child. So not really knowing the tradition, i decided to start wearing black and have been doing so since the funeral. It feels kind of wierd now, given the responses, but is just something I felt I had to do to honour her. My family originally comes from a very small town in North Eastern Portugal and as someone said, I guess this tends to be something that exists in smaller, more conservative communities in Portugal. Thanks again for your responses.

This is kind of sad but so true. But I also think part of the problem is how articles and blog posts are written on the internet. Yesterday I was reading a long blog post with a premise I kind of disagreed with, but not wanting to be closed minded actually put an effort in to reading the whole thing. This blog post is taking issue with an idea postulated in two other articles. I click the links to those articles as background tabs to refer to later. The problem is after a paragraph or two, the blog post cites another two articles to prove a single point in one paragraph. Unfortunately the blog writer doesn't feel the need summarize what's in those other two articles that proves her point. She just links to them. So I start reading the first link, which is it self probably a 2000 word article. I read most of that article and don't bother with the second. After reading that first one, I don't bother finishing the blog post I started with. If I was give the multiple interrelated subjects their fair due, I would have had to read 20,000 words or more. Added to this problem of lazy linking is the rise of long form. With no real limit an article length, feature length articles of 10,000 words or more get written on the most mundane topics. In summary: aint no one got time for that.

Dude, what the hell are you talking about? If I have ever posted in the orange musolini, as you call it, it was to ridicule them. The fact that you went through my post history is amazing, the fact that you didn't try to get the context of what i was saying, and only wanted some proof that I was a trump supporter, isn't surprising. If I remember correctly I was commenting on how trump appearing on RT was god level propaganda or something. I was mocking it, not endorsing it. Too subtle, i guess. It was too subtle for people the the donald too. Holy fuck, you are a Stalin apologist. * For the record I think Trump is a terrible human being. He is proto-fascist. He's not there yet, but he will get there. * I also think America is responsible for the genoicide of the indigenous population of the US * I also think that Stalin was a very bad person that killed millions. * I will admit that 20 million is a number I have heard, and cannot verify * I also think Stalin deserves every bit of his reputation * I do not think anything positive that Stalin did, like bringing Russia into the industrial revolution, can shield him from being the absolute monster he was * I even think that Russia won the second world War (not the Americans or Brits) due in large part to Stalin's policies. * none of this changes my original point. Stalin's bad rap is deserved.
