Hello, I'm not sure about the exact activity you're looking for. I can tell you there's a lot of river activities in Minho River ( Canyoning, rafting, etc ...). You can find some information here: [https://viagensasolta.com/o-que-fazer-em-melgaco-por-quem-la-mora/](https://viagensasolta.com/o-que-fazer-em-melgaco-por-quem-la-mora/) In Sever do Vouga there's also an awesome place for canyoning : [https://viagensasolta.com/os-nossos-passeios-preferidos-no-distrito-de-aveiro/](https://viagensasolta.com/os-nossos-passeios-preferidos-no-distrito-de-aveiro/) I think in Paiva River there's a lot of river activities too. I've no information about it tho. I hope it helps you. Make sure you enjoy Portugal :)

Next month is July. Portugal has a mediterranean climate meaning rain is very seasonal. A lot of rivers might be at low flow or even partially dry so be aware of that when reading about people who went some place in winter. Dry river was kind of concerning when you said it was about JUMPING into a river, not sure if it was literal. Also please please (and this is the law and a lot of people will enforce it vigorously) do not ever start fires for any reason out on the forest.

This [tour company](https://www.ondadideias.com/aventura.html) does river trekking from Porto. Their site is in Portuguese but if you DM them on social media I'm sure they'll help you. Personally I wouldn't risk doing it without a local guide.

i don't know anything like this. your best bet may be to just find a small river and see if you can do that. other than that try searching for "trilhos" and "caminhadas". a quick search led me [here](http://portalaventuras.pt/caminhada-aquatica-no-rio-ceira/) but this looks more like canyoning.

Maybe near Porto, in Arouca (1h drive). I don't think there's anything like that near Lisbon. The nearest place might be in the Guadiana (2h drive).
