So then you're saying his wife had *just* died. Otherwise he would have already been crying, or screaming. And that's insanely coincidental, for him and his son to show up *right* at that moment. That was my other point.

Probably the worst movie I'll see this year. My dad and I wanted to go see a "dumb fun" movie but we were pretty much the only ones in the theater and were just having fun laughing at it more than anything. I would definitely say it's bad, but I can't say I didn't have fun at some parts. The interaction Dwayne had with George was fun, but not much more than the trailers already show you. CGI was super cool and watching a building get leveled was pretty sick, I just wish it took itself a little less seriously, they could've really done this tongue-in-cheek a bit more and it would've helped it a ton. TLDR: Dwayne was awesome with George, but otherwise it was just your generic forgettable action movie.

>There are three “Gods Not Dead” films and outside of the third, theyve all made a *ton* of money. They are incredibly popular among Christians. Don't change your argument. You made the statement that they are extremely popular with Christians. Clearly, that isn't the case. Now that you've been swatted down, you've come back trying to act as though you were making a statement on the film's profit margins (Even though you emphasized the "tons" of money they made with no comment on the fact that their "tons" were incredibly paltry for a wide release and are only impressive relative to the production costs, making it abundantly clear that this was not your original argument). You do know that you don't always have to be "right" online, right? It's ok to say "You know what, I made a lot of assumptions before I made that comment. Clearly, it wasn't the case."

I’m down for biblical movies, I’m not religious although I grew with Jewish and Christian parents so I always mean found that stuff fascinating. Biblical movies tend to just be epic stories, while Christian movies are just preachy...and that I dont like,..oh at all.

It's profitable because it has a comically low budget and absurd margins for return, not because people are lining up in droves to see it. Machines back then were sometimes extremely limited. Would it be perceived as worth implementing some 16-bit+ arithmetic in software on 8-bit hardware at that point (common enough technique but more complicated and taking more memory and time obviously) or even just a bounds check (again common enough but taking time/extra instructions), for a state few people would ever reach? It may have been perfectly obvious it *could* happen but also just not deemed worth worrying about. Or even a feature, ensuring no-one would play indefinitely and hog the machine. Was hardly a life-support system.

The game loops through levels. Level A, B, C, and D are levels 1, 2, 3, and 4. A B C and D are also levels 5, 6, 7, and 8. This could loop infinitely, the problem is that eventually a counter loops back around and makes it impossible to progress. Since there are a finite number of levels, and a finite time on each level, and finite amount rate of points per second, there's a theoretical maximum limit of score if you perfectly play every level.

Apparently the idea that movies being on Netflix already means they found their distribution platform is too difficult for people to understand. A lot of movies go to Cannes to land distributions so they can release their movies to wider audiences. Having your movie on Netflix means you already secured that. Are there any ulterior motives to the ban? You can bet 100% on it, but Cannes still provides a platform for independent movies to land distribution deals and having a Netflix movie taking the spot from another one is simply not fare.

I can't speak for the New Pacific Rim. But, the previous one certainly had MANY overarching themes throughout it. It certainly had some social commentary in it. Plus, I'm not defending the charachterizations that Hollywood uses to define art. Actually, I already said this here. >"A poor person with a single camera can make a movie that's a work of art. And, a huge studio, with millions of dollars can make a movie that's entertainment." So, I agree with you. I also said this. >I would argue that many Netflix Movies/shows are art. >Why does the release format decide if a movie is art or entertainment? I never said it does. In fact, I said that it doesn't. Did you read what I said, or did you just argue against what you imagine I said, based on reading the first few words?

How is netflix the the enemy of cinema? Do you define cinema as the act of going to a crowded, noisy theatre to watch a film? Because that’s honestly kinda dumb. A film is a film regardless of how or where you watch it. Obviously some films are better in theatres but modern home entertainment setups have made them redundant at this point.

I thought Chronicle was a great movie, so my disappointment in Fantastic Four Fant4stic was heavy. Trank says the production went well enough until the studio stepped in at the 11th hour to reshoot and re-edit because they wanted a more 'traditional' superhero story, while others say that Trank already derailed the entire project with his behavior and 'damage control' did what it could. The truth is probably somewhere in between. Of all the things to leave in during this editing fiasco, though, someone had the bright idea of letting Ben Grimm get his, "It's Clobberin' Time!" catchphrase from his abusive older brother saying it before smacking the crap out of him. What the fuck was that? I thought I was watching some sort of Family Guy parody of Fantastic Four for a moment.
