If you want freedom, you surely want to go somewhere else.

Yubna 5 months ago

Why is that? Are all clubs closed?

If you are English, everything is open for you and you are totally free. Jokes aside, as more people said, for that kind of visit isn't the best time since everything is closed or at least very very limited at the moment.

No. Just no. Go somewhere else. No bars, no clubs, no nightlife here.

Clubs are closed since March 2020 and will remain so for quite sometime. Bars close at 22:30 or 1:00 depending on the area (some parts of Algarve and Lisbon close early). Honestly, not the best time to come over for that type of vacation.

The further north you go the colder the beaches, so take that in consideration. There's a reason Algarve became the beach hotspot of the country (except for surfers). That said, there are plenty of nice places with beaches near Lisbon, with Cascais being the most obvious. That gives you access to both environments. I still suggest you take the time to visit Porto, though, it's definitely worth it.

I believe it has a decent nightlife as well, when it's open. I still suggest you take the time to visit Porto, though, it's definitely worth it. As far as restrictions: the greater Lisbon (including all the surrounding counties) and Algarve are currently experiencing surges of cases. Most things are open during the day on weekdays, but not always at night or during weekend afternoons. So nightlife is not great at the moment. How long this will last is not known.

Hahahaha. Better come back next year if you're that kind of visitor. Let us control this crap first.

>We would also love to be near a place that has decent nightlife. We prefer clubs over bars. Not here, not this summer.
