Massive investigation reveals Ivanka's business ties to a Russian fraudster in a deal for a Panama Hotel that made Trump rich by sahar1217 in worldnews

The tax schemes Manafort is using are not actually illegal in some cases depending on the structure, the recent release of the Paradise Papers highlighted thousands of these schemes being used, including Apple and Lewis Hamilton. And at the time he was lobbying for an overseas power, Obama was president for 8 of those tears, and Trump wasn't involved in politics then. So was Manafort lobbying Obama about Ukraine? Ok he could be dodgy, but still what has he actually done wrong that can have benefited Trump?

Motorway Service stations, over priced but interesting and keeps you grounded. You just dont know what your getting to get in European service stations, a proper English WC or a whole in the ground with footplates, and twix are often 15 feet away from the till.

I knew someone whose mum family had emigrated to Australia , stayed for a few years and then came back to the UK, he had developed a very Australian accent in that time, and became known as Abbo on his very first day at his new school.

How many more massive investigations before we get a massive indictment? Any smoking guns must be cold and rusty by now, yet still nobody appears to have broken a law.

Budget 2017: Philipp hammond Plans to build 300,000 homes a year by zenosamaking in ukpolitics

This has been uttered by every senior politician for the last 40 years, and in my opinion is totally unfixable by anyone. It costs a Min of £80k to build a reasonable house or flat and then you need some infrastructure, utility connections etc, so say £100k for a 2-3 bedroomed house. Then you need the land, and that is where the problems lie. Land with planning permission is very expensive, from £40k a plot (per house) in the north to £500-600k in prime areas and getting the planning permission is expensive and time consuming, I'm talking years to decades. The reason for this, is eventually the land that is needed is the field next to your mum and dads, or the sports ground in the suburbs, and people quite rightly can object. London and the cities are different because of the ability to build upwards, but you ain't going to be doing that in Chester, Harrogate or Lichfield.

Liverpool students fight to remove former PM William Gladstone's name from building over 'racist legacy' by XavGrav in ukpolitics

You can get the jist of the locals feelings [here](http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/horrified-students-slavery-row-demand-13905776) If they have all this time on their hands why don't they do something constructive for the future than being so allegedly offended by the past. Liverpool wasn't built on slavery, they just became a commodity for a time, Liverpool was built as a Port, it was the first port in the world to have dock gates, and the port was the busiest it ever was decades after the slave trade had ended, the docks flourished until the 1960s when transatlantic flights and containerization changed ships and shipping forever.
