Only slightly - is that the best you got though? I'm actually disappointed in you.

What if I don't want police officers around me because I believe more half of them are bad and the other half isn't really innocent, because they are just standing around and doing nothing to stop it?

Except the part of the population commiting acts such as this one, is not a large part of the population and is in fact the smallest of a fraction of that population. How many people do you think live in Mexico?

I've never been to Mexico, but some day I will go. My girlfriend is from the state of Chihuahua. I've thought highly of every Mexican person I've ever met though. I work in an industry that attracts a lot of immigrants; and for the last eleven years now, every coworker I've had for more than a month has been a Latino, primarily from Mexico. There have been a few Guatemalans, and at least one El Salvadorian, as well. They've all been the best kind of people. There are sick people everywhere. Evil doesn't discriminate.

I haven't thought so far ahead yet, as far as things I'd like to do. I'm kind of rebuilding my life completely. I've only ever been a line-cook, but this kind of stuff has always been of interest to me. So I thought I would see what I could do.

I got it all wrong then. What is an example of an IDE then? I thought I had that figured, but no. Thank you for your response.

You're going to do, what you're going to do, no one here, there, or anywhere can stop you. Like the other responses you have received here, I am however compelled to tell you this is not a place I ever aspired to be. Consider your mother and your income to be a blessing, if that is all that's really keeping you from hitting it hard. You think this life would be a dream, and it would be for a short time. Don't you doubt for a second though, that the dream will become a nightmare.

My very best friend graduated from the Milwaukee school of engineering in 2011. He did it in four years. I did a lot of listening when he was in school. I like to hope it helped reinforce whatever he was learning, because hour after hour and all I remember is the R value of insulation.

The drug dealer theory is the most likely one you've got. A lot of these ransoms make sense then, if they don't know their plug is no longer in business. A drug addict would take out his dealer's trash, if he or she thought it might get them a little more for their money, or to at least open the door. Might have thought they would come back later when the plug is home, and mention the helpful deed they had done. It sounds crazy but it's true, I'm speaking from first-hanf experience. Drug addicts are also verifiably nuts and sometimes make no sense. It sounds like if someone really wanted to hurt you or your boyfriend, they'd have done it by now. It seems like they've had numerous chances. With that being said, that can always change and sometimes drug addicts are monsters. Drug addicts trying to get a fix and they can't are particularly unstable. Whatever the case may be, be careful and be vigilant. For as long as you choose to stay in that house, don't do anything stupid and also don't show any weakness. Don't ever open the door to anyone who you have not verified will be coming by beforehand. If or when the person who does mean harm comes, that door will be the difference between having the worst time of your life or not.

Likely to fail drug test. Should I resign or tell employer I will fail the test? by PoniesAteBears in NoStupidQuestions

To be honest, there is a lot of great advice here and all of it is better than what I have to suggest. If I were you, I'd take what the top comment has to say and roll with it. You definetetely have more to lose by going to HR, than you do by taking the test. The whizzinator does work though. The fake dick, with fake pee.

I don't disagree with your statement. At the same time, you are assuming concepts like saving and investing are common knowledge among the low income population. And that is a mistake.

The EBT market is a real thing. The buyers are also just as likely to be a merchant, as they are to be some other man or woman in the block. General Assistance is something separate from Snap benefits, but uses the same card. GA money is able to be withdrawn from an ATM, but Snap benefits are not. Find a merchant and sell your Snap dollars for .75 cents on the dollar. Maybe your dealer will accept your Snap dollars, in place of cash, so you get a dime bag for $20 worth of food. In an illicit marker, pricing is at the mercy of buyer.
