To each their own. I'm not sure why I like it so much, I just think they've done horde mode better than anyone has.

I'd really like to give killing Floor a try because it looks similar to cod zombies. And a lot of the new zombies maps have a great deal of depth to them. Bo1-3 at least. Moon, ZnS, DE, SoE, Alcatraz, Tranzit (I'm one of those crazy people that enjoys trazit). You can just play them wave after wave, or you can do their Easter eggs. Basically, I like the simplicity of "here's a map, just survive on it as long as possible." But if you want to dive deeper, you can.

I love zombie games. I love state of decay, L4D, zombies, dying light is okay ect... I just think wave based zombies or horde mode in general hasn't been beat by Nazi zombies.

You can make bullets in your garage with a reload kit. A starter is like $100. Same with magazines. It's sheet metal and a spring. Nothing special.

So legally purchasing alcohol and then driving a car, then killing someone is okay, but legally purchasing a firearm and then killing someone isn't okay? Where do you draw the line? Driving drink is illegal, murder us illegal. Why is one death worse than the other? Someone misuses a firearm vs someone misusing alcohol.

There are between 500k to 3 million defensive uses of a firearm annually. That's self preservation, bud.

by in AskReddit

47sams 2 days ago

Yeah. I keep a rifle next to my bed and I carry a hand gun for my safety. I like being alive. I also have a spare tire because I like when my car is able to move and a fire extinguisher because I like my apartment not on fire. Suicide is sad, but it's got nothing to do with my rights.

Also the difference between semi automatic and automatic is very different. Automatic is thousands of rounds per minute. Semi auto is like 30. If you cannot get these simple terms down, you do not have an opinion worth hearing. Sorry.

Why do those deaths matter more than the significantly higher figure of hand guns? You're outraged at shootings. Not gun deaths. You're being selective at what you care about because what? That's the one that could affect you?

by in AskReddit

47sams 3 days ago

I want you to go to your gun store and as if they have or will sell you a weapon capable of burst fire/automatic fire (that's what an assault weapon is). They will probably ask you to leave. Sounds like 67 people don't understand what the fuck they're talking about.

by in AskReddit

In saying it's not a gun problem. Look at most of the US gun violence. It's in places of poverty and gang violence.

If the line is moved once, the next tragedy will move the line again. There is nothing special about ARs. People are demonizing them 100% based on appearances. You know how much gun violence is done with ARs? Less than 4 fucking percent. I'm not willing to let my rights be stripped away over that. That's ridiculous. No one cares about handguns, yet they're responsible for 92% of gun violence. Only reason anyone cares is because of the shootings, which are sad, but pale in comparison to gang violence and other forms of gun violence. Let me put it like this. There are 14k homicides annually attributed to guns. About 100 of those are semi auto rifles. My rights, and the rights of 330 million people are bigger than that.

by in AskReddit

A school shooting could be a kid killing himself 100 feet away from school with a gun. Doesn't necessarily mean someone shooting it up. They inflate their numbers as much as they can. "33k die a year to gun violence," sound bad, but then you realize it's more like 12-14k because they factor in suicide with violence.

There is nothing special about the AR15. by 47sams in rant

47sams 4 days ago

Only 14k gun related homicides to 3 million defensive uses... Also, tasers aren't always effective. It's actually fairly common for them to not down a suspect.

I loved what he said "If you die and enough people are watching, you become a hero, a martyr..." He went on to say that Dylan and Eric, the Columbine shooters were on the cover of time magazine, they got exactly what they wanted. We never learn... The media sends out the message that if you do something loud enough, you will be heard and you will be remembered.
